It began with a simple idea, help athletes achieve their potential.

Creating the Mensani Mental Training Workbook.

Sport is one of life’s great passions. It’s hard to match the rollercoaster of emotions that come with playing, coaching, and watching sport.

As a former competitive athlete and coach, preparation was key. Like any field, sport, there was a broad mix to consider - strength, speed, endurance, agility, nutrition, sleep or rest. There was also the mental preparation - how to get the mind ready to perform. For many of these areas there was well documented do’s and don’ts but when it came to the mental side it always seemed like it was trial and error or a best guess. This was the impetus to going back into some of my old Sport Science textbooks focusing on Sport Psychology. The outcome of months of research and preparation was a simple workbook that incorporated basic principles of mental skills training. The workbook was the starting point for a journey that continues today into the world of sport psychology and leveraging the mind to maximize performance.

Now with a Masters in Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology, a Masters in Physiology and year coaching experience across a range of sports, I’m very excited to be able to help in an area where they was little support when I played competitively and even when I coached. There is a great number of athletes, coaches, and team who can benefit from this proven set of practical tools and methods. We’re ready to go!
